Movement

The health of the spine plays an important role in the health of the whole body. Restorative yoga and Dru yoga offer a therapeutic approach which emphasize healthy movement of the spine. Whether you are recovering from, or living with, illness or injury, my classes offer gentle techniques that bring the body into balance and reduce stress. Using both yoga in stillness and yoga in motion, easy flowing sequences will help strengthen your body and uplift your mind and spirit. Combining these poses with affirmations and visualizations will positively affect your physical, physiological, mental, and emotional health and well-being.

Nutrition

While I have training in macrobiotic cooking and other forms of nutrition, I encourage you to honor traditional culture food choices and embrace anything around you that is holistic and wholesome, especially organic and bio-dynamic produce and ingredients. I have been influenced by writings on traditional foods and diets and their effects on health, such as Nourishing Traditions by Sally Fallon. I’m happy to provide information about simple, easy, and practical ways to nourish yourself.

Healthy Lifestyle Changes

I strive to inspire a natural, healthy way of living. Creating a healthy living environment includes the kinds of clothing you put on your body, the products you use in your home, and the way energy moves in your home to support your health. Natural healing modalities can include acupuncture, myofacial/visceral therapy, and anthroposophical medicine. Tap into your creativity. Therapeutic singing, art, and spending time in nature supports your health. Anything that honors and nourishes yourself contributes to your health. Simple things make a big difference.
